There’s always a guy at work who’s never sick. He’s normally pretty smug about his sickness record and likes to remind you whenever you’ve had a day away from the office. If that guy is you, then great? How do you do it? We’ve had a look at the reasons why some of us don’t get as sick as others.

Some even suggest that taking up martial arts can benefit the body as the training needed to pursue that properly leads you towards better eating habits that also help your body remain healthy. Vigorous exercise in general really helps boost you. Whenever your circulation is increased, you generate more white blood cells. These guys check for germs and fight off infections from pathogens like bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Mouth

Your mouth is often the gateway to disease so pay attention to it. Regular gargling with an antiseptic mouthwash will help you improve your dental health without need for more trips to the dentist. This will help you fend off illnesses or stop them from developing. Another reason to make this part of your morning and evening routine is that poor oral hygiene and especially gum disease are often linked to more serious illnesses, including diabetes.

An apple a day

An apple a day really does help you ward off illness. It’s not just something that doctors and parents say to get you to eat more fruit. Red apples contain quercetin which is an antioxidant that’s also found in broccoli and green tea. When you’re under tremendous pressure and stress, this antioxidant will help strengthen your immune system.
