If you’ve got children, particular infant children, you’ll want to know how to reduce fever quickly. There are lots of commonly used remedies that will help you reduce your children’s high temperature so that they can get back to sleep and play.

When bathing be careful not to put your kid in a hot bath but it’s equally important that you don’t bath your child in cold water either. If the water’s too cold, it can make your child shiver which will make the body temperature rise.

Rubbing alcohol is method that people used to use in the past but nowadays that’s seen as harmful because you could give your kid alcohol poisoning. Even if it doesn’t, it’ll make your child’s temp spike.

Fluids and chilled foods are also great ways of getting a temperature down. Icicles, yogurts and other cold foods will help reduce a fever. These foods should be accompanied by fluids, preferably water which should be chilled. If your child won’t take chilled drinks, just make sure that you get any fluids in.
