7 Day Diet Plan

If you are wanting to create a healthy diet and increase your daily metabolism try and pre plan your meals for the week. This is a great way to have a clear list of the groceries you need ahead of time and will help you avoid eating and purchasing unnecessary groceries. Mix and match these meal ideas to create your perfect 7 day diet plan.

Meal Ideas

The average woman should consume somewhere around 1500-1600 calories per day with the minimum being 1200. This will vary though depending height, weight, gender and age. It is also important to drink plenty of fluids each day such as water or green tea. A healthy 7 day diet plan will include plenty of raw vegetables and fruit, healthy carbs and healthy fats, and lean protein.

Breakfast Ideas:

Fruit lovers should eat a grapefruit which is low in sugar and has plenty of fiber to start your day. Or make yourself a colourful fruit and yogurt parfait or smoothie.

For the fruit smoothie, simply blend:

  • 1c. Greek Yogurt
  • 1c. Frozen Fruit
  • ½c. of either milk, water, or coconut milK

If fruit is not how you want to start your day, try slicing up an avocado on wholegrain toast with a poached egg topped with a light sprinkling of little salt and pepper. Cereal people can either make their own or purchase muesli. Simply have ¾ c of muesli with 1c of skim milk or low fat soy milk.

Lunch Ideas:

Lunch shouldn’t be a heavy meal, rather it should be something light and fresh.

Put together a fresh green salad with a mix of green onions, carrots, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and celery with a drizzling of salt and lemon juice.

Preparing a low calorie soup is a great way to have something light for lunch and have plenty for the following days.

Dinner Ideas:

There are plenty of healthy dinner variations that offer colourful and healthy meals. Start with 4 ounces of healthy protein such as a grilled chicken breast, kidney beans, tofu or baked tilapia. Accompany the protein with your choice of broccoli, mixed green salad, asparagus, or a cup of whatever your favorite vegetables are.

While snacking usually has a negative connotation, there are many healthy snacks that are great to add to your daily diet if you are feeling a bit hungry.

Purchase or make your own hummus and dip carrots, peppers or other veggies into the yummy mix. Another option is to cut up an apple and dip it in a tablespoon of natural peanut butter.

Diet and Exercise
